Eric J. Ende, M.D. Independent Director since 2010 Dr. Ende is co-founder and managing director of Silverback Group, a private equity investment firm. Since 2009 he has served as president of Ende Consulting Group, which is focused on biotechnology industry consulting. From 2002 through 2008, Dr. Ende was the senior biotechnology analyst at Merrill Lynch. Prior to that, he served as the senior biotechnology analyst at Bank of America Securities and a biotechnology analyst at Lehman Brothers. During Dr. Ende's career as a biotechnology analyst, he was named to Institutional Investor’s All-America Equity Research Team six times as well as to The Greenwich Survey list of top analysts.

Dr. Ende is a successful analyst and consultant and brings to the board extensive financial expertise and a strong understanding of the biotechnology industry. Dr. Ende received an M.B.A. in Finance & Accounting from New York University’s Stern Business School in 1997, an M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1994, and a B.S. in Biology and Psychology from Emory University in 1990.
