Peter Wirth, Esquire Executive Vice President, Legal and Corporate Development; Secretary Peter Wirth joined Genzyme in 1996 after having served as the company’s outside general counsel since 1982. He has senior management responsibility for the corporate development and legal departments. Prior to joining Genzyme, he was a partner at Palmer and Dodge, a Boston law firm, where he was head of the firm’s technology group. Mr. Wirth has a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
