C. Ann Merrifield Senior Vice President; President, Genzyme Biosurgery Ann Merrifield joined Genzyme in 1992. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the orthopaedics and biosurgical specialties business units of Genzyme Biosurgery, including Synvisc and all other biomaterials products. Ms. Merrifield has also served as president of Genzyme Genetics. Prior to joining Genzyme, she was a partner at Bain and Company and an investment analyst for Aetna Life and Casualty. Ms. Merrifield has an M.B.A. from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a B.A. and M.Ed. from the University of Maine.
