James Kean Corporate Controller James Kean joined Genzyme in 1999. He has worldwide responsibility for all controllership functions, including SEC filings, accounting policies and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Prior to joining Genzyme, Mr. Kean served as Corporate Controller for Sovereign Hill Software Inc. and Mangosoft, Inc. He also held a variety of roles at Lotus Development Corporation. Mr. Kean has an M.S. in Accounting from Bentley College and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
