Genzyme offers several different types of grants for different purposes, so please take a moment to review the information on this page and consider how your organization's mission fits with our guidelines. If you're not sure which type of grant to apply for, choose the one that best matches your needs, and our grant coordinators will ensure that your application reaches the most appropriate review committee. Applicants are welcome to submit multiple grant requests for different programs, which Genzyme will evaluate independently.

Grant applications can be submitted online at any time, all year round. Please be sure to apply well in advance of your funding needs because the application review process can take from 6 to 16 weeks. Community Relations grants are only reviewed quarterly; those applications received by the close of each quarter (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 30) will be considered during the next review meeting, approximately one month into the next quarter. Review meetings for other types of grants are held on an as-needed basis.
In all cases, Genzyme notifies applicants of our decision by email. We receive many qualified and deserving applications and regret that we cannot fund all of them. All applications receive a fair review, and we encourage organizations to reapply for future programs and initiatives.
If you are having difficulty with the online application process, have forgotten your login details, or need other technical assistance, please contact the Genzyme Grants administrator online or by phone:
